Burn Ban Notice Affecting Charcoal Grills and Open Flames Lifted at Walt Disney World Resort

Due to drought-like conditions and for fire prevention measures, Walt Disney World Resort Guests staying at any of the on-site resorts were asked to refrain from using open flames in most outdoor settings over the past few weeks.

Last week, the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD, formerly known as RCID) confirmed that the burn ban previously in place has been lifted. All normal outdoor cooking activities may resume, including use of personal firepits. Additionally, the merchandise location at at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground can now resume the sale of charcoal and firewood products.
