Theme Park Reservations No Longer Needed for Date-Based Tickets Starting Jan. 9, 2024
As part of Walt Disney World's efforts to make visits simpler and easier, in May, the company announced that theme park reservation requirements will be removed for date-based tickets starting with park visits on Jan. 9. 2024.
Beginning today (Aug. 10), Guests planning a theme park visit after Jan. 9, 2024 using date-based tickets will no longer be able to make a theme park reservation on the Walt Disney World website. These include:
- Date-based 1-day ticket
- Date-based multi-day ticket
- Vacation packages with date-based tickets
Guests with existing theme park reservations after Jan. 9, 2024, will be notified via e-mail that a reservation is no longer required to enter the theme parks on the date of their visit and no additional action is required.
For other admission types, including Cast Complimentary tickets, Annual Passes and non-dated tickets, theme park reservations may be required to help us continue managing attendance and delivering a great experience for everyone. Guests may check which admission types require park reservations by visiting DisneyWorld.com/ParkReservations before they purchase.
