SeaWorld Orlando Update: Mako Repainting, New Construction Project, and More (PART 1)
Visiting SeaWorld Orlando is always an exciting adventure. In addition to the wonderful animal exhibits and thrilling roller coasters, there is always something new to see around the park. In fact, as you will notice while browsing the photos included in this rather large update, there are so many refurbishments and construction projects that have either been recently completed or have just started since we last visited the park a few weeks ago.
Let's dive right in and explore SeaWorld! Our first stop will be the park's entrance and the area surrounding Manta:
The coaster was repainted not too long ago:
Some of the outdoor kiosks located in the Key West area of the park are temporarily closed:
Moving on:
New signage was recently added under the awning leading to the SeaWorld Rescue Center:
Gone are the backlit signs with animal imagery:
The new signs highlight how many animals the park has been able to rescue so far:
The new SeaWorld Coral Rescue exhibit was not open when we visited the park a few days ago, but it should be open to Guests now:
The rest of the exhibit looks great after the recent reimagining of this space:
The exterior of the building housing the SeaWorld Rescue Center/Coral Rescue exhibit no longer features directional signage pointing to the attraction's entrance. That said, we are happy to see the building was repainted, as it really needed it:
Journey to Atlantis recently reopened to Guests after a refurbishment. We are glad to report that exterior looks fantastic!:

As you can see, a small section of the façade is still receive some attention:
Even the rockwork is receiving some TLC:
