Final Voyage of Hyper-Immersive Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to Take Place on September 28, 2023

​Today, the Walt Disney World Resort announced that Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will take its final voyage Sept. 28-30, 2023. The Walt Disney Company made sure to specify that this was a business decision, and that there's a desire to deliver immersive experiences at an even greater scale in the future.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is one of Disney's most creative projects ever and has been praised by Guests and recognized for setting a new bar for innovation and immersive entertainment. This premium experience gave the company the opportunity to try new things on a smaller scale of 100 rooms, and what was learned from this (very expensive) test will be used to create future experiences that can reach more Guests and fans.

Disney will be contacting Guests booked for voyages departing on or after Sept. 30 to discuss their options and modify their plans. To prioritize these Guests, the company is pausing new bookings until May 26. Voyages will reopen for bookings on May 26, and no discounts will be offered. The Walt Disney World Resort stated that there are no immediate plans for this venue.
