Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Guests Receiving Letters Advising Them to Leave Resort by 3 p.m.
Yesterday evening, Guests returning to their campsite at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground received the following letter, advising them to prepare for the tropical storm and to leave the resort by 3 p.m. today:
Dear Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground Guest, We're continuing to monitor Tropical Storm Nicole and wanted to give you an update on our operations. Based on the latest forecast, we expect the most severe weather to impact our area overnight tomorrow, Nov. 9 into the morning of Thursday, Nov. 10. For the safety of our Guests and Cast Members, we've decided to temporarily close Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground starting Wednesday, Nov. 9. Please note that all Guests will be required to depart the resort by Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. For assistance in booking alternative accommodations at another Disney Resort hotel, please call 407-939-7427. Should you choose to end your vacation stay, please visit the front desk and check out by 3 p.m. The reopening timeline for Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground remains tentative, and subject to safety conditions. We will be updating DisneyWorld.com/Weather throughout the week and we encourage you to check there for the most up-to-date information. Thank you!
