Springbok Gives Birth at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Calf Moved to Animal Kingdom

Guests staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge are invited to meet the newest member of the springbok herd! Born near the end of September, this cute calf travelled to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park last week to spend some time with the park's animal care team, who offered careful attention and kept her fed every four hours. Even under special circumstances, Cast Members didn’t skip a beat in providing excellent care.

Springbok are a hoofstock species of slender antelope that can be found in the central and western parts of southern Africa. You can spot springbok at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and while riding Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
