SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, LEGOLAND, and Other Parks to Remain Closed Through Sept. 30
While Walt Disney World currently expects to reopen the resort in phases starting tomorrow, other theme parks and attractions in Central Florida announced that they will remain closed through Friday, September 30 to allow crews to assess the damage and to clean up the area. Here you are the list of locations confirmed to remain closed tomorrow:
- SEAWORLD ORLANDO, DISCOVERY COVE, AND AQUATICA:
- Official Statement: SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, and Discovery Cove parks will remain closed through Friday, September 30. All date-intended tickets for September 28, 29 and 30 have been extended through December 31, 2022. The parks expect to reopen on Saturday, October 1. Discovery Cove will reschedule or refund reservations booked online or from the call center. We will not apply any cancellation or change fees for this service. - BUSCH GARDENS TAMPA BAY:
- Official Statement: "All animals and employees are safe and unharmed. We would like to thank our dedicated teams who stayed onsite during the hurricane to tend to the needs of our animals. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will remained closed through Friday, September 30. We plan to reopen on Saturday, October 1. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the community and fellow Floridians, including our own employees, who now begin the hard task of rebuilding and recovering from this historic storm.
- LEGOLAND FLORIDA RESORT (Including LEGOLAND Water Park and Peppa Pig Theme Park):
- Official Statement: "We're thinking of those impacted by Hurricane Ian. LEGOLAND Florida Resort will be closed on Fri, 9/30 as we assess damage & clean up from the storm. Friday’s closure includes LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park, Water Park & Peppa Pig Theme Park. Learn more at http://legoland.com/hurricane."
