PHOTOS: Exclusive Preview of "Behind The Seeds" Tour Returning to EPCOT on Oct. 2 (PART 2)
Thank you for joining us for the second part of this extensive "Behind the Seeds" photo-tour. Let's continue to explore the String Greenhouse to check out more of the amazing plants that are grown in this pavilion; afterward, we will move on to the Temperate Greenhouse:
As previously mentioned, our next stop will be the Temperate Greenhouse. Here, Guests can find crops grown in locations with temperate climates, including pumpkins, sunflower, turnip, cotton, cassabanana, winter melon, pomelo, and the famous "Nine-pound Lemon."
Notice the Mickey-shaped plant! You can find numerous hidden Mickeys throughout the tour:
We are now entering the "Aquacell," which focuses on aquaculture, or "fish farming." Animals on display include tilapia, sturgeon, catfish, shrimp, and more. Some of the fish harvested from the Aquacell are served in the Coral Reef Restaurant in The Seas with Nemo and Friends pavilion:
The reason why this area features a deep red light is to avoid having algae grow in the tanks:
