Iconic World Drive Sign Advertising The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to Be Removed

The World Drive billboard advertising the Tower of Terror attraction is about to discover what lies beyond the fifth dimension, as this iconic sign is about to vanish into... the Twilight Zone. Work to remove the billboard officially begins today (Wednesday, July 13, 2022). According to Disney, the sign's removal is "consistent with the removal of other roadside attraction advertisements throughout property," which include the former Mission: SPACE and "It's Tough to Be a Bug" signs.

Although the billboard will no longer be with us in this dimension, guests will continue to check-in at the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney's Hollywood Studios and enjoy the same thrilling 'ups and downs' of Hollywood's finest hotel service.

After this billboard is removed, additional plants and shrubs will be planted in the area.
