Traditional Character Greetings Returning to Walt Disney World Starting April 18, 2022

Beginning April 18, traditional character greetings will be returning in a phased approach at the Walt Disney World Resort, allowing characters and Guests to enjoy closer interactions that include hugs, handshakes, and signing autographs.

During the past two years, Disney Parks have taken a very gradual, intentional approach to health and safety protocols. Recent trends and guidance have provided opportunities for them to bring back some of the most beloved magic, like character greetings and dining experiences. Locations will be reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.
