Mobile Checkout Test Launching at Select Walt Disney World Merchandise Locations
Guests visiting select Walt Disney World Resort stores will soon have a new way to pay for their purchases.
Originally launched at Downtown Disney in California, "Merchandise Mobile Checkout" is a contactless payment and shopping option that is being piloted at Walt Disney World Resort’s MouseGear at EPCOT beginning Dec. 2 and Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort on Dec. 4. The pilot continues Disney's commitment to health and safety and provides Guests the option of a convenient, contactless shopping experience.
When using merchandise mobile checkout, Guests open their My Disney Experience app to scan their own merchandise items in-store and make purchases. In-store registers and Cast Members are still available to assist Guests with their shopping experience at all merchandise locations.
