Central Florida Zoo CEO to Clean Otter Habitat in Fundraising Effort
As part of a recent fundraising effort at the Zoo, the CEO Clean Sweep, Dino, promised to clean any habitat that raised $3,000 in donations. At 8 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, he will make good on his promise. This event will feature plenty of great visual opportunities as Dino goes back to his roots as a zookeeper to show the hard work and dedication required each day to take care of the animals and ready the Zoo for its guests.
So far, the Zoo has raised $2 million from organizations and individuals in its efforts to recover from revenue lost during its closure due to COVID-19, which struck during the Zoo’s busiest season. It is hoping to raise another $500,000 by June 30, 2021 for its operations.
Fundraising efforts continue, and guests still have the chance to donate to help the Zoo. Through Dec. 18, the Zoo is raffling off 12 prize packages for 12 Giveaways for Giving. Each donation enters guests for a chance to win. It is also continuing with its No Zoo Without You sustainability campaign.
