Universal Orlando Resort Introduces New Updates to Face Covering Policy
Effective Monday, August 3, the Universal Orlando Resort is implementing the following updates and clarifications to the existing face covering policy, which pertain to both Guest and Team Members:
- A gaiter is considered an appropriate face covering as long as it covers your nose and mouth.
- We recommend that face coverings be at least two-ply (consist of at least two layers).
- Face coverings that are unable to be secured under your chin, such as bandannas, are not permitted.
As a reminder, the following are NOT permitted at Universal Orlando:
- Face coverings with exhalation valves
- Face coverings that are not secured with ear loops or secured around your head
- Face coverings that include mesh material or holes of any kind
- Costume masks or veils
These changes will be reflected in the Operations and Safety Updates section of Universal Orlando's website.
