Disney Cruise Line Operations to Remain Suspended at Least Through October 1

Earlier today, Disney received word that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is extending its no-sail order for the U.S. cruise industry through September 30. The order previously had been set to expire on July 24. This means that Disney Cruise Line operations will remain suspended at least until October 1, unless the CDC modifies its order based on changing public health considerations.

As previously announced, the company was already planning to keep the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wonder paused at least until September 15, and the Disney Magic paused through October 2.

The team at Disney Cruise Line continues to plan responsibly and meticulously for the day sailings can resume, with many new protective measures in the planning stages. Having additional time under the no-sail order will allow the company to consult more with the CDC on the specific steps that will be taken to eventually resume cruising.
