Select Custodial Cast Members to Return to Work When Disney Springs Reopens on May 20

Last week, the Walt Disney World Resort officially announced that select third-party restaurants and stores will reopen to Guests on May 20, 2020. When that announcement was made, some wondered whether Disney would allow Custodial Cast Members to return to work or if third-party employees would temporarily take over to keep the area clean.

Today, the Walt Disney World Resort started recalling Custodial Cast Members to keep Disney Springs a safe place for Guests and employees. Since the area will reopen in phases, Disney is currently allowing most Custodial Cast Member to request a temporarily transfer to Disney Springs, even if they worked in another area of the resort prior to being furloughed.
