Disney Wonder Cruise Ship Sailings Cancelled Through the End of June 2020
Yesterday morning, Disney announced that the Disney Wonder has cancelled all sailings previously scheduled for April, May, and June due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Here's the official message released by Jeff Vahle, President of Disney Signature Experiences:
Disney Cruise Line is further extending the suspension of operations for the Disney Wonder through the end of June 2020. As you may be aware, the Disney Wonder has been preparing for its upcoming season sailing from Vancouver, but large cruise ships are prohibited from docking in any Canadian port until July 1 at the earliest and we have been unable to secure an alternate homeport.
The operation of the rest of our Disney Cruise Line fleet remains suspended through April 28, 2020, based on direction from health experts and government officials. We continue to evaluate possible adjustments to our upcoming season in Europe with the Disney Magic, which is currently scheduled to begin in mid-May, and to our schedules for the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. I know that when we emerge from this crisis, we will be more nimble, more strategic and positioned for long-term success. And our teams will be ready to do what we do best – and that’s create happiness and unforgettable vacations.
