Refurbishment of Porte-Cochère Area Begins at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

Starting from this week, the Disney’s Magical Express, airline check-in, and valet areas in the

porte-cochère at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will be updated.

As part of this project, some Guest service locations will be modified in a few different phases, including:

• Barricades will soon be installed near Disney’s Magical Express luggage drop-off and pick-up location in the porte-cochère to construct a new ramp.
• Valet service will move to a permanent new desk nearby in the porte-cochère.
• The Disney Cruise Line service will temporarily move from its current location to the lobby area in front of Sunset Lounge until the project is complete.
• Barricades will go up around the existing valet window to transform it into a new airline check-in area.

Starting in March, work will begin to enhance the bell services area inside the lobby. During this project, bell services will temporarily relocate from its current location in the lobby to a nearby station of the resort front desk.

This project is currently expected to be completed in April 2020. Once complete, the porte-cochère and lobby will welcome Guests in an improved layout and inviting experience.
