Jan. 27, 2017 - Planet Hollywood Observatory Opens at Disney Springs
Guests looking to enjoy glitz and grub can find it all in this 400-seat spherical restaurant. Reopened on Jan. 27, 2017, the Planet Hollywood Observatory brought unique live entertainment, starry video displays and plenty of food to fit the fancy. As part of the reimagining of the space, a turn-of-the-century inspired entryway helps transport Guests back in time for their dazzling feast.

2005 – “Mulan II” (direct-to-video animated film) is released

1988 – Film production begins on Splash, Too at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
1992 – Disney’s Dixie Landings Resort (now the Riverside portion of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort) opens at the Walt Disney World Resort
2001 – “Motocrossed” (Disney Channel Original Movie) debuts
2013 – Turtle Talk with Crush experience is introduced at the CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange, California
