Walt Disney World Reverses Decision to Introduce $3 Fee to Swap FuelRod Chargers

Earlier this week, FuelRod kiosks around the Walt Disney World Resort received temporary-looking stickers advising Guests that swapping portable phone chargers would require a $3 fee starting November 1, 2019.

After hearing this, many people started complaining about this change (some even filed a lawsuit), causing FuelRod and the Walt Disney World Resort to reverse this decision. In fact, the Walt Disney World Resort released the following statement earlier today:

A decision has been made to not implement the $3 portable charger swap fee until further notice. Guests can continue to swap their FuelRod portable chargers using FuelRod’s owned and operated kiosks at Walt Disney World Resort for no additional cost at this time.
