Portion of BB-8 Parking Lot Closing at Hollywood Studios to Prepare for Grand Opening of Rise of the Resistance

In preparation for the grand opening of the new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios, there will be impacts to the BB-8 parking lot (which is used exclusively by Cast Members working at the park) beginning December 1, 2019.

The BB-8 lot will be temporarily unavailable during the following times:

• December 1-2: Overnight from 12-5 a.m.
• December 3: 9:30 p.m. – 12 a.m.
• December 4, 5, 6: 5-11:30 p.m.

A very large drone is expected to fly over Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge during the grand opening ceremony of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which is currently stationed in the BB-8 parking lot; for this reason, Disney is expected to hold after-hour rehearsals to get ready for that special event.
