Universal Studios Update: Bakery Refurbishment Continues and More (PART 1)
This is definitely a very exciting time to be a theme park fan. While we have seen the opening of numerous additions throughout the years, Orlando's theme parks will be opening of some of the most spectacular new attractions and themed lands in 2019, including Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, the new themed lands opening at SeaWorld and LEGOLAND Florida, Islands of Adventure's all-new family coaster, the Tigris coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and more.
Of course, we shouldn't forget that Universal Studios Florida will also be opening at least two new additions this year: one will be the new stunt show replacing the former Terminator 2:3D attraction, while the other will be a refurbished bakery (which will replace the Beverly Hills Boulangerie formerly located near the turnstile area). Let's check out the work that's currently being done around these areas.
Our first stop will be the bakery:
A hole in the walls allowed us to take a look inside the building:
As you can see, work is proceeding very quickly. Some areas of the building have been completely gutted:
Work continues to take place inside the building that used to house the Terminator 2:3D attraction:
We never noticed this sign before, but we are not sure how new it is:
As you can see, it matches with the other sign that sits closer to the Pantages Theater:
We love being able to walk around Central park during the day:
As previously reported by Orlando Park Pass, the speakers around this area were recently covered so that Guests do not stand on them while the nighttime show is in progress:
We love these beautiful sunsets:
