Jan. 20: Five years of western, musical comedy with Callie the Calico cat
Disney Junior’s “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West” television series debuted Jan. 20, 2014 as the very first Western for preschoolers, the show follows Callie, a lovable Calico cat, as she keeps the peace in a little town called Nice and Friendly Corners; it uses folklore of the Old West to impart life lessons about kindness, friendship, and honesty.

1949 – “Pueblo Pluto” (Pluto cartoon) debuts
1955 – “No Hunting” (Donald Duck cartoon) debuts
1994 – Walt Disney Pictures releases “Iron Will”
2005 – “Now You See It” (Disney Channel Original Movie) debuts

1925 – “Alice the Toreador” (Alice Comedy) debuts
1926 – “Alice’s Balloon Ride” (Alice Comedy) debuts

1970 – The Legacy of Walt Disney exhibit opens at Disneyland Park
1975 – After being moved from Disneyland Park, Carousel of Progress opens at Magic Kingdom Park
1975 – Space Mountain opens at Magic Kingdom Park
1986 – The Living Seas opens at Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort
1999 – The first units at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort open at the Walt Disney World Resort
2014 – Disney Kingdoms, a comic book series from Marvel, launches its initial series
2016 – “The Lion Guard” (television series) premieres on Disney Junior
