Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park will celebrate the 25th anniversary of “The Lion King” with a new addition to the "Tree of Life Awakenings" show, the nighttime entertainment offering featuring projections that bring the park's icon to life.
Starting Memorial Day weekend and appearing nightly through September 30, the Tree of Life will awaken in a whole new way with stunning projections, music, and animation paying tribute to the classic film.
Additionally, starting today, Guests can take a walk on the wild side during the Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party, featuring Timon and Rafiki from Disney’s “The Lion King” along with other Disney family friends. A live Caribbean-style street band starts the party by adding a cool calypso twist to popular Disney hits. Guests can celebrate the “problem free philosophy” daily on Discovery Island.
