New Attractions and Experiences Coming to Walt Disney World this Summer
As previously announced, the Walt Disney World Resort is inviting Guests of all ages to celebrate an "Incredible Summer" starting May 25, 2018. This special event includes the opening of an entirely new land at Disney's Hollywood Studios as well as the debut of multiple entertainment offerings that the whole family will be able to enjoy in all four parks! May 24: At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Donald Duck and his friends have learned news of prehistoric proportions—that they are descended from dinosaurs. So, with eight character greetings and a nightly “End of Daze” dance party, they are celebrating with Donald’s Dino-Bash!
May 25: In Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, the Incredible Tomorrowland Expo will run through Labor Day. Guests will get the opportunity to interact with Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Frozone and—for the first time ever—will see Edna Mode. “Super Party Time” is a nearly continuous show on the Rocket Tower Plaza stage, and the entire land will feature themed décor, sound effects and music, celebrating the world’s favorite family of Supers. Meanwhile, at Disney Springs, fashion, food and fun celebrate a summer of blockbuster film releases, continuing with the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story.
May 26: With incredible kids activities, a DJ dance party on weekends and select days, and limited time food & beverage offerings (like Frozone Sno-Cones), Disney’s Blizzard Beach will offer super family fun through July 4.
June 9: In Guardians of the Galaxy—Awesome Mix Live! Star-Lord and Gamora take over the America Gardens Theatre at Epcot five times a day, for a musical journey through the cosmos that runs through August 19.
June 21: With character meetings with Buzz, Woody and Jessie, a dance party, limited-time food & beverage offerings, and an entertainment area and bar for grown beachgoers, Rex and his Toy Story pals use water, projection, and lighting effects to transform Typhoon Lagoon on 16 select, special-ticket H2O Glow Nights through August 11.
June 30: At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Walt Disney World Resort will take summer to infinity and beyond with the grand opening of Toy Story Land. From Slinky Dog Dash to Alien Swirling Saucers and midway fun at Toy Story Mania! to snacks at Woody’s Lunch Box, it all kicks off the Saturday before July 4.
