This Week in Disney History: April 30-May 6
There’s always a great, big, beautiful tomorrow at The Walt Disney Company, because every day is tied to a milestone in the heritage and rich history of a company that has been entertaining millions of people every year. Published every week, this interesting series features highlights from all the divisions of The Walt Disney Company. Let's see what happened this week:
This Week: On May 6, 1988, World Showcase at Epcot welcomed the Norway pavilion as the 11th and the country last added. Today, Guests visiting this pavilion can sail off into the frozen forest of Arendelle and also meet Queen Elsa and Princess Anna in their summer home. One is apt to see more of their royal friends in the regal Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, patterned after the 14th century fortress in Oslo.
