Disney's Animal Kingdom Gets Ready to Celebrate its 20th Anniversary

From April 22 to May 5, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will celebrate its 20th anniversary with an expanded “Party for the Planet” celebration (click here to learn more). In preparation for this special event, crews will be working overnight April 18-20 to install decor and rehearse for the ceremony.

A décor package will be installed on Discovery Island and around the entrance of the park on the night of April 18. The following evening, a stage will be installed in front of the Tree of Life and rehearsals for a special ceremony/show will be held on the Tree of Life stage from 5-7 a.m. on April 20.
