Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to Start Charging Overnight Parking Fees

In order to align with full-service hotels within the industry and Disney's own hotels in California and Hawaii, all Walt Disney World Resort hotels will soon implement an overnight parking fee. This new (and very unpopular) policy will only apply to Guests who book their hotel reservations on or after March 21, 2018 and will vary by hotel category:
  • $13/night for value resorts;
  • $19/night for moderate resorts;
  • $24/night for deluxe resorts.
Guests at deluxe resorts may also use valet parking service, which is available for $33/night (Valet service at deluxe resorts remains complimentary for Guests with disabilities.). Theme Park parking will remain complimentary for Resort Guests.

Complimentary parking will be available for Guests who wish to dine, shop, or visit a resort for the day.

DISNEY VACATION CLUB MEMBERS:
Disney Vacation Club Members will not be charged for standard overnight self-parking vacation points to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Members also will not be charged to park when staying at a DVC Deluxe Villa, regardless of whether they use vacation points or another form of payment.

OTHER GUESTS THAT WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR OVERNIGHT PARKING:
Overnight self-parking will be complimentary for Guests with disabilities, Cast Members staying as Guests, some Guests traveling as part of a group or convention, and Guests staying at campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

  1. Another significant stealth charge. Remember how gas prices work ? On station puts price up so another follows and before you know it we have an " industry standard".
    Here we have a car parking "industry standard" generated in much the same way. I hope one brave hotel chain or individual hotel makes a stand and reaps the rewards of having all of their rooms filled every day.
