Cast Members to Wear New Costumes for Animal Kingdom's 20th Anniversary

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park will celebrate its 20th anniversary on April 22 with a range of events and activities for both Guests and Cast Members. As part of the celebration, Cast Members working in many of the park's themed areas will wear new costumes. Here's a list of the locations that will soon receive new costumes:

• Garden Gate Gifts

Discovery Island

• Island Mercantile
• Discovery Trading Company
• It’s Tough to Be a Bug
• Adventurer’s Outpost Operations (not Character Attendants)
• Pizzafari
• Flame Tree Barbecue
• Eight Spoon Café
• The Smiling Crocodile
• Isle of Java
• Creature Comforts
• Terra Treats
• Riverside Depot

Africa

• Rafiki’s Planet Watch
• Wildlife Express Greeters
• Gorilla Falls Trails

Asia

• Maharajah Jungle Trek Trails

The new costumes being introduced for the park’s Oasis and Discovery Island Cast Members offer more flexibility than ever before. Cast will be able to mix and match pieces and will be able to select elements based on their personal preferences. 

The first phase of this costume update will roll out on April 22, but these new costumes will be worn moving forward. Additional areas will also receive new costumes in the coming months.
