Disney's Hollywood Studios Update: Echo Lake Drained (PART 1)
Almost every single themed land of Disney's Hollywood Studios currently has a section closed to the public due to construction. While we are all looking forward to the future Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land, a number of smaller additions will complement these expansive areas by creating an even more pleasant environment (the bare Soundstage look no longer works in an era when theme parks strive to create ultra-themed environments). Let's see what's new this week...

The projection towers used for two of the park's three nighttime offerings are finally being themed:
The new details are certainly needed:
Both towers are giant eyesores. We are glad something is being done to fix this:
We cannot understand why the two towers were painted using completely different colors...
Star Wars characters were heading backstage:
The Chinese Theater:
Hopefully the new dark ride will be as good (if not better!) than its predecessor:
Enjoy a few more photos of this spectacular structure:
Mickey and Minnie have taken over the former TCM photo-op:
Moving on:
The new Grand Avenue area was partially unveiled BEFORE the hurricane hit Central Florida:
Here's how the area looks like now:

Waiting for the park to ditch that stage. I sorta want to see some meets in the Chinese theater area, since there won't be a ride for at least 2 yrs, Indy stunt show deserved to close instead of TGMR, it didn't deserve to be the longest running attraction at DHS(or what ever it's going to be called by the end of this decade)
