Disney's Hollywood Studios Update: Echo Lake Drained (PART 3)
Thank you for joining us in the second part of our latest Disney's Hollywood Studios photo-report. Don't forget to check out PART 2 of this update to enjoy even more pictures taken around the park.
In the previous part, we spent some time exploring Muppet Courtyard and the adjacent Echo Lake (we hope you enjoyed the large amount of photos of the drained body of water located by the Indiana Jones stunt show. You're welcome). Let's wrap things up by heading to the back of the park.

IDK why the Pixar Place area will become a backstage area?, so there wouldn't be fighting to which way the guests are surposed to go.
ReplyDeleteIs Beauty and the Beast Live FINALLY ending its 26 yr run soon?
VOTLM can stay as long as it wants
I can't get over how tacky the Star Wars Launch Bay is. Everything about it, from the cheaply repurposed Magic of Disney Animation building to the fact that it's on the opposite side of the park from the other Star Wars stuff to the sheer pointlessness of the whole thing, makes me wonder why they even bothered, other than just to say they technically have one more "attraction" (though it hardly qualifies as one) in their nearly attraction-less park. It's as if they decided Star Wars didn't already have enough representation in the park, so they slapped together something with the same level of quality and preparation as the Frozen Summer Celebration to try to capitalize on the short-lived Star Wars craze of 2015, so that way they could spend another four years building an actual Star Wars land.
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to seeing the new Theme Park. I'm sure I wrote a comment on this site 18 months ago saying that Hollywood Studios needed to be bulldozed and rebuilt. I just think it's a difficult period to take in so many changes at once - the park looks so empty. Muppets Courtyard just looks so sad and out of place now and I can't quite understand the rationale of closing the Great Movie Ride in the middle of so many changes. I do trust Disney though - they have obviously decided to do as much as they can at the same time for a reason; short term pain for long term gain. I suppose part of their reasoning is that we now have Pandora, a completely revamped Disney Springs and a recently updated Magic Kingdom to occupy the potential HS visitors.
