Updated Show Scene Coming to Pirates of the Caribbean in 2018
Walt Disney and his original team of storytellers started a tradition of making changes to create exciting new experiences for Guests, and that practice lives on through today’s Imagineers. Following this tradition of “change,” Disney officially announced that when the popular Pirates of the Caribbean attraction reopens after its regular refurbishment next year, Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park Guests will encounter some familiar character playing a variety of new roles.
In the re-imagined auction scene, the famous redhead has switched sides, joining the pirates’ cause in pillaging the town’s tavern as the pirates auction off the townspeople’s valuables. In addition to that, some of the other characters present in the scene will be seen carrying goods to the pirates that are attempting to take over the village.
This was announced as part of an update about the attraction at Disneyland Paris, where Guests will see a similar scene introduced, along with new characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean film saga, when the attraction reopens on July 24.

It's fine. All the movie references are annoying however.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more :(
DeleteThis is a change for the feminists. How disgraceful!
ReplyDeleteThis political correctness mess is out of hand !!!
ReplyDeleteHere's looking forward to transgender pirates in hijabs :(
ReplyDeleteI'm 100% behind this change. Selling people is not a theme that should have ever appeared in a theme park attraction.
ReplyDeleteabsolute nonsense. How about instead of this you make the brand new Pandora boat ride wheel chair accessible?
