Epcot Update: Gondola Markers Appear Near the Park (PART 1)
Epcot has always been a great theme park that offered educational attraction that Guests of all ages were able to enjoy together. In more recent years, the focus of the park changed, as Disney characters started to slowly take over the park, and it looks like that's the path Epcot will continue to follow in the near future. The good news is that we are about to witness an unprecedented expansion that will result in many new additions that should completely transform the park.
Our first stop will be the area right outside the secondary entrance of the park, also known as International Gateway. As you will see in the following pictures, new markers showed up in this area just a few weeks ago:
This is the rumored location of the last station of a new transportation system that will soon connect multiple Disney hotels (including Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and Disney's Pop Century Resort) to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios:
Epcot's France pavilion is also rumored to be getting a new addition in the near future (the Ratatouille ride):
Let's enter the park:
We'll continue our tour by checking out the Imagination! pavilion:
As we reported, two new shorts joined "Get a Horse!" at the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival:
Both Piper and Feast include special effects, include the great "bouncing ground" effect:
The rest of Future World West remains mostly unchanged:
Rumors point to the possibility of having both Innoventions buildings torn down in the coming years:
Moving on:
Color-coded lines can now be found near the stroller parking of The Land:
Let's head to the other side of the park:
The Electric Umbrella's menu received some changes not too long ago:
The vegetable flatbread was replaced by the 3 cheese flatbread, and the French dip burger combo was added:
This is one of the most expensive options found at a quick-service location across Walt Disney World:
Let's head to Future World East:
The area right in front of Innoventions East is still temporarily closed:
Since this was posted, construction walls have gone up at the International Gateway where the flags were. The station will actually go more into the adjacent backstage area but I assume this whole area will be re-configured. I could see them pushing the security checkpoints out further like they did at MK.
