SeaWorld Orlando Update: The Sky Tower is Back (PART 2)
Welcome to the second part of our new SeaWorld Orlando photo-report. Don't forget to also check out PART 1 of this update by clicking on this link to find more pictures.
In the previous part, we took a quick look around the entrance of the park, the Port of Entry, and the Waterfront district. We will now continue to explore this beautiful theme park by entering Antarctica, the Sea of Mystery, Key West, and more. As you'll notice, there's still a lot to see around the various themed areas of SeaWorld Orlando.
The area seemed to be very quiet. Too quiet, in fact:
These temporary stanchions are quite ugly:
Journey to Atlantis recently reopened after a major refurbishment that included a "new" soundtrack (which was used in the former "A'Lure " show), and less special effects to make it more kid-friendly:
The exterior of the ride still needs some attention:
Overall, this ride is still one of the most exciting water rides in Orlando. It has so much potential...
The Kraken will receive a new name (Kraken: Unleashed) once it reopens with VR headsets:
The park announced the new virtual reality experience on the roller coaster will open on June 16:
The new Dolphin Days show is now being performed at the Dolphin Stadium:
Heading deeper into Key West:
Let's stop by the Shark Wreck Reef:
The Shark Encounter exhibit received some enhancements in the past few months:
The Bubble Legend, Fan Yang, will perform in the park’s new show that will debut Memorial Day weekend:
The name of the new show is "Pop":
The Sea Garden area will soon be home to Infinity Falls, the new rapids ride opening next year:
The building containing the restaurant will remain:
Moving on:

I'm excited for both the upcoming Kraken: Unleashed and Infinity Falls. I do feel though instead of Kraken: Unleashed, I think Sea World would've directed their attention at Wild Arctic which is crying out for an update. The pavilion(minus the ride) is still actually fine and doesn't need to really be touched much, it's really just the ride that needs a new lease on life with an updated movie to go along with the simulation and perhaps adding the 3-D effect just like Disney did with Star Tours.
ReplyDeleteAlso very excited for both new rides. I'm sure sea world bosses know that wild arctic is an issue but I think they probably have bigger plans for this area. Hopefully they'll do something completely new but i guess they can only do one thing at a time. Can't deny that they are investing a lot in constantly enhancing guests experiences unlike a certain competitor...
DeleteI think they should remove the simulator from Wild Artic and replace it with a dark ride. It would cost more money and they would have to redo the front part of the building, but it would be worth it. You could ride in jeeps threw the artic.
ReplyDeleteNot excited for any of it. SeaWorld should have invested in their animals more. What they had planned for Blue World project should have come to light. They should have expanded all animals habitats and made them better. Very sad to see this beautiful area of the park destroyed for yet another ride
ReplyDeleteBeautiful area destroyed for a ride. LOL What a card.
