Magic Kingdom Update: New Bag Check Locations (PART 1)
In the past few days, a new security setup was implemented at the Magic Kingdom.
Gone is the single bag check area at the front of the park. That tiny area is now wide open (even though the shelters are still present... for now), and Guests are now being screened at the Transportation & Ticket Center and at the monorail stations located at the Disney hotels around the Seven Seas Lagoon. Guests who arrive by bus now go through a much larger bag check area located closer to the bus stops. Take a look:

First of all, note that these photos were taken a few days before the new system was actually implemented. Taking pictures of (active) security setups in the area's theme parks is frowned upon for obvious reasons:

You can be sure that these tents will be replaced by permanent shelters once the best location is chosen:
