Sign Language Services Available at Universal Orlando

The theme parks in the Central Florida area continue to be very popular thanks to the quality, new attractions and shows that are added every year. In addition to that, though, many Guests keep coming back because such parks provide great experiences that everyone can enjoy together, no matter their abilities.

For this reason, the Universal Orlando Resort strives to provide assistance to all Guests with disabilities, including those who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.

Interpreted Live Show Performances

Did you know that American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services are available on a daily basis at select in–park live action shows located inside Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure at no charge? Guests should refer to the guide map for pre-selected performance show times at each park.

Additionally, with one week notice, an ASL interpreter will be made available for many of the in-park live action shows located inside Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure at no charge; Guests should e-mail SignLanguageServices@universalorlando.com to plan their upcoming visit. With the advanced notice, they will be able to provide a custom itinerary to meet the guest’s needs. All special entertainment events that include live concerts are also interpreted (theme park admission required).

Video Remote Interpreters

When an on-site interpreter is unavailable to assist in a guest situation, video remote interpreters are ready to assist. Guests can have their questions answered via a video remote interpreter at the Guest Services lobbies in both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
