"Art in August" Event Begins this Week at Disney Springs

As part of the grand opening celebration this summer, Disney Springs is hosting “Art in August,” a vibrant, open-air art stroll that celebrates the diversity of art, featuring a little something for everyone. Throughout the month, “Art in August” will showcase local and Disney artists specializing in many art styles including painting, photography, home crafts, jewelry and unique keepsakes. In addition, Guests may participate in interactive demonstrations on the promenade.

“Art in August” kicks off this weekend featuring the following artists (subject to change):

• Artist Appearances & Signings: Richard Terpstra, Disney Design Group Artist, and Don “Ducky” Williams, Character Illustrator.
• Boiled Books: Meet the local mixed media artist, Rachelle Eason, showcasing stationery and art stains made with real plants and flowers.
• Jortra Boutique: Offering one-of-a-kind accessories, Jorta Boutique specializes in jewelry pieces made from nature.
• Precious Moments Dolls: The latest Precious Moments Dolls from doll designer Linda Rick.
