SeaWorld Update: Touring the Shark Wreck Reef (PART 1)
SeaWorld Orlando has a very busy summer ahead thanks to the new additions coming to the park in the coming weeks. The most important of these amazing new offerings will be their new hyper coaster, Mako. Orlando's longest, tallest, and fastest roller coaster is currently soft-opening to Guests (the ride may close a few hours before the rest of the park closes). Additionally, the new "Summer of Mako" event will introduce entertainment acts that Guests will surely enjoy.
The SeaWorld Rescue Store now has a new look:
The SeaWorld sign next to Manta has been refurbished. We are glad they kept it:
Manta is still one of the most photogenic coasters in the area:
The Vacation Experience Center has been moved next to the entrance of the Key West themed area:
Some areas of the Stingray Lagoon are being repainted:
The Dolphin Cove area is beautiful:
It was a very quiet afternoon:
The new Manatee Rehabilitation area is now open to all Guests (click here for more photos):
Journey to Atlantis looks great:
On the other hand, we are sad to report that Antarctica doesn't look as great as when it first opened:
While we are glad that Guests can now skip the pointless Empire of the Penguin ride, the new railings that have been installed to lengthen the queue look very out of place. We hope they will fix this issue:
New banners now invite Guests to check out the Pacific Point Preserve:
The exhibit even received a new sign:
The Oyster's Secret divers are missing again:
It's now time to check out the great Shark Wreck Reef themed area:
Many new thematic elements have been added all around this once-dated area:
Guests of all ages will certainly enjoy learning more about sharks:
While the Shark Encounter exhibit has not been refurbished, it received a new entrance portal:
