Photo Capture test at Magic Kingdom Park June 28 - July 8
A "photo capture" test will take place at the Magic Kingdom Park in the coming weeks. During this new test, a camera will be placed in a fixed location, and the participating Guests will be provided with a device that will give prompts and activates photo capture on command. As a thank you for participating in the test, the photo Guests take during the test will be complimentary and available to download. Guests will also be able to share the photos in their Disney account.
This technology is being tested as a way to add more photo experiences around the parks, especially by placing cameras in locations where it wouldn't we practical to station a Disney PhotoPass Photographer.
Testing will take place by Rapunzel's Tower (through July 1) and by The Sword in the Stone (July 5-8).

It sounds pretty cool, but on a large scale it will probably make these areas way too crowded to walk through. Especially during the summer months, when the crowds get overly hot and easily putout, causing them to become Hulk angry.
ReplyDeleteI'd much rather them spend their time on adding a Haunted Mansion vid and pic to My Disney Experience.
