Islands of Adventure Update: Kong Opening Gets Closer
Theme park fans around the world were happy to hear that the highly-awaited Reign of Kong ride started operating just a couple of days ago, even if that was only for Universal Orlando Team Members. It's even more exciting to think that the attraction might finally soft-open to the general public in the next few days (today is out of the question according to some Team Members standing outside the ride). Of course, there's more to see around the park other than Kong...
Plenty of work continues to be done around the queue of the ride:
The section of the coaster closest to the lagoon is still water-less:
Moving on to the Reign of Kong area:
Fire effects were still being tested a few days ago:

The large gate was fully functional:
