Disney Dollars to Be Discontinued After Saturday, May 14

With cashless transactions becoming increasingly predominant among Guests, The Walt Disney Company decided to end the sale of Disney Dollars after May 14, 2016. Guests may purchase Disney Dollars through May 14 (while supplies last) at select Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort locations. Once purchased, Disney Dollars have no expiration dates and will still be accepted at select locations at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Stores in the U.S.

Be aware that previously purchased Disney Dollars do not expire and will continue to be accepted.

Will Guests be able to exchange Disney Dollars for cash equivalent after May 14?

Yes, Disney Dollars can be exchanged at Theme Park Guest Relations, Resort Concierge and Front Desks. Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort can also visit Disney Springs Guest Relations to exchange Disney Dollars for cash equivalent.

What other options are available for Guests seeking to purchase Disney Dollars?

A Disney Gift Card is another convenient gift option. Disney Gift Cards can be purchased online at www.disneygiftcard.com and at select locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, Disney Store locations in the US and DisneyStore.com. Please be aware that there are some differences between Disney Dollars and Disney Gift Cards. For example, unlike Disney Dollars, Disney Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash (except where required by law) and are not available in amounts less than $15.

What do Disney Dollars look like?

Disney Dollars are available for purchase in three denominations—$1, $5 and $10—each with unique

Disney Character portraits. A $50 denomination from the 50th anniversary of Disneyland Resort may still be in circulation but is no longer available for purchase.

Is there a limit to how many Disney Dollars can be purchased at one time?

At Disneyland Resort, there is no limit to the amount of Disney Dollars purchased per day. At Walt Disney World Resort, there is no limit for Disney Dollars purchased with cash; however, Disney Dollars purchased with a credit card are limited to $50 per day per Guest. Checks are not accepted at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort for the purchase of Disney Dollars.
