Roadwork Near Disney Springs Officially Begins January 5
As Disney Springs continues its major transformation, work continues to widen roadways, which will eventually make access to the property much easier.
Starting January 5, construction crews will be working on the intersection across from Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, which will require temporary lane closures on Buena Vista Drive. As a result, all traffic at the intersection will be limited to traveling straight or turning right and vehicles will be unable to cross the median.

Access to Disney Springs surface parking lots:
- To enter the Disney Springs surface parking lots from eastbound Buena Vista Drive, vehicles must continue straight through the intersection, using the Orange Garage parking ramp on the right.
- When exiting the surface lots, cars will only be able to turn right onto westbound Buena Vista Drive.
Access to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park:
- Vehicles will only be able to enter Typhoon Lagoon via eastbound Buena Vista Drive.
As a reminder, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is closed for refurbishment Jan. 4-March 12, 2016.
This temporary work is expected to take 6-8 weeks to complete. Those traveling in and around Disney Springs should continue to follow directional signage and plan for extra travel time.
