Hollywood Studios Update: More Walls Appear (PART 2)

Welcome to the second part of our newest Hollywood Studios photo-report. As always, we invite you to check out PART 1 if you have not already done so.
In the previous part of this update, we walked along Hollywood Boulevard and then we moved on to the Center Stage area, Animation Courtyard, and Pixar Place. Let's now continue our photo-tour by checking out other areas of the park including the Streets of America, Echo Lake, Sunset Boulevard, and more.

Walls have gone up around the Premiere Theater:

The walls extend all the way to the old character greeting areas:

No more coffee and pastries:

Muppets:

The former Pizza Planet restaurant is now completely surrounded by walls:

Some quite entertaining signs can be found attached to the walls:

We are quite sure that this restaurant will reopen with a Muppet theme:

Star Tours:

It appears that the viewing area for the Jedi show is being expanded:

Walls are also up in Echo Lake, near the old ABC Sound Studio and the WDW Radio Studio:

Rumors say this area will become a character greeting location featuring more Star Wars characters:

The old audio booths have been covered:

The beautiful Echo lake area:

Sunset Boulevard:

Walls are still up around some areas of the Sunset Ranch Market:

New awnings:

We'll conclude with a look around the rest of the area:

  1. I don't understand why they want a stage in front of the theater! The theater is gorgeous and should be displayed without distraction >:(

  2. I have a feeling it's only there as a distraction attraction while all the work is going on around the park and will go away as new things start opening.

  3. I wonder if the new signature icon for this park will deal with Star Wars? Any comments?

  4. @Karen
It will more likely be something that encompasses the entire park and it's new theme/title, especially if they change the main entrance location, as rumored.

  5. Should be interesting! I am really looking forward to the finished product!

  6. I wonder if the Imperial walker will walk over to Pop Century. I don't see how it will fit with new layout. I think a Star Wars overlay of the 80s section would be great
