Animal Kingdom: Work Around the Tree of Life Starts Soon

Additional work around the Tree of Life will begin on Sunday, Dec. 6, which will cause some operational changes. After work is complete, the pathway behind the park’s icon will be greatly expanded. Through the first few months of 2016, portions of the path behind the Tree of Life will be blocked, restricting Guests from going through the trail as a passageway. A construction barricade will be placed across from Creature Comforts and in other sections of the path.

Due to the closure of the pathway, Tarzan will relocate to an area by the Disney Vacation Club kiosk on Discovery Island. Additionally, the macaw perch behind the Tree of Life will be removed.

Guests will continue to get their Wilderness Explorers Insect badge in the same located (next to the exit of It's Tough to be a Bug!) but must access the area by Adventurers Outpost. Also, Winged Encounters will continue to offer shows for Guests visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
