Disney Harvest Celebrates Another Very Successful Year
For fiscal year 2015, the Walt Disney World Resort donated 820,745 pounds of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank, surpassing the numbers of prior years.
Ensuring food that might otherwise spoil gets put to good use, Disney Harvest is a partnership between Corporate Citizenship, Distribution Services, Food Safety & Health, and the Food division. More than 50 organizations benefit from this program including shelters, after-school programs, and day care centers.

Disney Harvest trucks, driven by Distribution Services Delivery Drivers, collect unserved, prepared food from restaurants and convention facilities across the Walt Disney World Resort, and through their partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, deliver meals to our local community five days a week, 52 weeks a year.
