New Tortuga Tavern Menu Debuts Soon at Magic Kingdom
In the past few days, some of our Readers lamented the fact that the new menu of Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe (located in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom) no longer includes barbecue options that many seemed to appreciate a lot.
Earlier today, the Walt Disney World Resort announced that the nearby Tortuga Tavern (a seasonal restaurant located in Adventureland) will get a brand-new menu starting tomorrow (October 14) that will include barbecue sandwiches.
Earlier today, the Walt Disney World Resort announced that the nearby Tortuga Tavern (a seasonal restaurant located in Adventureland) will get a brand-new menu starting tomorrow (October 14) that will include barbecue sandwiches.
The menu will feature barbecue sandwiches with either pulled pork, sliced beef brisket or grilled chicken breast, all served on Texas toast with beans and cole slaw. Here are some photos of the sandwiches:
Vegetarians, or anyone looking for a lighter meal will enjoy the roasted corn and vegetable salad, served with vinaigrette dressing. Barbecue beef brisket or chicken can also be added to the salad.
What do you think about this change? Are you looking forward to try the new menu items? Let us know!

Not my kind of food, but fits the area pretty well. Veranda should round things out nicely.
ReplyDeleteOther end of spectrum, I see a burger/fries etc menu up for Tomorriwland Terrace right now.
I think next they need to sort out the Quick Service restaurants/booths at Disney Hollywood Studios 5 years ago if u didn't want everything with chips you had to neither eat the horrible salad option at pizza planet or sit outside near the tower of terror in the heat and share your tables with the love bugs.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more here! Hollywood Studios is really lacking good quick service options, especially when you compare it to the other parks (e.g. Columbia Harbor House @MK, Yak 'n' Yeti @AK). I'd anticipate that the new areas under construction will help remedy this, but I don't see why they can't reboot the existing menus currently on offer there whilst we wait for that.
ReplyDeleteHS has okay quick service in my opinion (better than MK's low crowd offerings). Not a lot of inside seating though, that's true. You can always order meals without the side for less money by the way.
