New Electric Vehicle Charging Station at Animal Kingdom
A new electric vehicle charging station was recently added near the taxi/shuttle drop-off area at the front of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Guest parking lot.
Up to four vehicles can be charged at one time and space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. A fee is associated with charging a vehicle; in addition to that, Guests using the charging station are still required to cover the standard daily parking charge (unless they have an annual pass that includes parking).

The electric vehicle charging station is operated by a third-party vendor called ChargePoint. Guests with questions regarding the charging station should visit the official ChargePoint website.
Additional electric vehicle charging stations are located at Disney Springs and Epcot Guest parking lots.
Of course they should still charge for parking. My fear is this will become another entitlement that the non-car traveler ends up subsidizing through higher rates.
ReplyDeleteI don't expect to e able to gas up my car in a Disney parking lot, why should anyone expect to charge theirs?
They charge extra for the electricity, unlike many other public chargers
DeleteThePlaz, I have an electric vehicle, can you tell me more about these free public chargers? Would love to know where these are ASAP.
ReplyDeleteI have on in California/Bay Area. Most chargers are free with parking: downtown garage, airport, employer. Have not looked in FL
