Digital Gift Cards and YuDo Coming Soon to Disney Parks

Beginning November 16, digital Disney Gift Cards will be accepted at the Walt Disney World Resort and other domestic locations as another payment option for Guests. This new version of Disney Gift Cards will work just like plastic gift cards. Digital Disney Gift Cards may be loaded into and stored in various digital wallet applications (i.e. Gyft, GoWallet, Passbook). Guests may load cards into the mobile application of their choice to use as a form of payment.

In the near future, Guests will be able to download another digital wallet application, YuDo by Disney, to use in conjunction with digital Disney Gift Cards. YuDo by Disney, a new digital wallet app, provides parents with visibility into where and how their children are shopping. YuDo can be used to make online and onsite purchases with digital gift cards from more than 175 third party merchants in more than 100,000 stores, restaurants, movie theaters and online shopping destinations.

Here you are some frequently asked questions about the new Digital Disney Gift Cards:

Where can Guests use these new digital gift cards?

They can be used at all locations currently accepting Disney Gift Cards, including Guest Relations, Ticket Sales, Recreation, Vacation Planning, and Front Office locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Aulani – A Disney Resort & Spa, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort.

How do digital Disney Gift Cards work?

Digital Disney Gift Cards work just like plastic gift cards. Guests may simply present their gift card on their mobile device, and the Cast Member will scan the barcode.

Can discounts be used in conjunction with these new digital gift cards?

Yes. All applicable discounts, such as Cast Member and Annual Passholder discounts may be applied when completing a transaction with a digital Disney Gift Card.

Can Guests purchase the digital Disney gift card at Vacation Planning booths or Guest Relations?

No. Guests may purchase a plastic Disney Gift Card and load it into their choice of a digital wallet app.

Do Guests using digital Disney gift cards need to present anything else to make purchases?

A photo ID is required for the purchase of alcohol and tobacco products. Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members and Cast Members should be prepared to show valid discount-eligible card and photo ID for applicable discounts.

Is this a secure form of payment?

Questions relating to the security of digital gift cards should be directed to the mobile device provider or app provider. Guests are recommended to follow any security measures recommended by the provider of the device or application, including what to do if their phone is lost or stolen.

What should a Guest do in case there are issues with the new YuDo by Disney app?

A dedicated Guest Services team within Disney Interactive Guest Services will be available to Cast Members for YuDo support and information via email (support@myyudo.com), phone (1-844-448-

9836) and chat (coming soon). In the near future, there will be a “Help” section created on the YuDo app(help.disney.com/yudo).
