Magic Kingdom Hub Update: The Slow Season Begins
After having had to deal with another busy summer, we have finally reached one of the best times of the year to visit the theme parks in the Central Florida area.
At the Magic Kingdom Park, the most popular rides that usually have hour-long wait times are now almost walk-on, and the park in general feels less crowded than usual. Since park hours are slightly shorter, work should proceed quickly around the park's central hub, which is still in the process of being expanded.

First of all, work continues to be done around the Cinderella Castle stage (notice how the sky looks different from the first photo. Some of the photos were taken a few hours later, but still on the same day, Thursday, September 3, 2015). As you will see, construction is proceeding at a steady pace in this area:

And that is all for now. Before concluding, remember to like us on our official Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for live updates from the parks. Colored and patterned concrete: requires patience and skill. I just stick to gray and have enough troubles with that!
ReplyDeleteAre the metal lighting towers permanent or just temporary during the construction?
ReplyDeleteThey should be temporary. The new turrets were built for the lighting and projection systems.
ReplyDeleteI don't see that area being done for the Halloween Party season to begin. The ramps look a ways away from being completed.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or do the curving staircases make the castle look stunted?
ReplyDelete@Anon Yeah, you're not the only one who noticed that.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they can work a lot overnight and get the area in front of the castle finished by the time Not So Scary starts! With them debuting a new castle show for the event, you would think they would want guests right up close!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great! :)
