Flying Fish Cafe Closing for Refurbishment in Early 2016
The Flying Fish Cafe (located at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort) is scheduled to undergo a major refurbishment from February 2016 through fall 2016.
The dining location will be temporarily closed during that time. When the Flying Fish Cafe reopens in the fall (exact dates are not known at this time), it will have a renovated dining room and kitchen area. The Walt Disney World Resort has confirmed that the restaurant's name and overall concept will not change.

As an alternative, Guests planning to visit Disney’s BoardWalk during their stay may enjoy table-service dining at Trattoria al Forno, Big River Grille & Brewing Works, or ESPN Club. Guests who wish to dine at another signature restaurant may enjoy Yachtsman Steakhouse (located at Disney's Yacht Club Resort), Artist Point (Disney's Wilderness Lodge), or Citricos (Disney's Grand Floridian Resort).
More information about this refurbishment are expected to be released in the near future. Stay tuned.
Kind of surprises me because that place is beautiful as-is. I would think there are lots of other things they could spend that money on...
