Animal Kingdom Update: A New Amphitheater (PART 2)

Welcome to the second part of our newest Animal Kingdom photo-report, OTPN Readers. Be sure to check out PART 1 first, if you haven't already done so.
As you have seen, Discovery Island continues to receive a lot of attention, as the two largest stores of the park get expanded, the Tree of Life continues to be enhanced, and the Flame Tree Barbecue restaurant is refurbished. We will now continue to explore the park, as there is more to see around this amazing place.

Entering Asia:

Before our last visit, we had never noticed that the lockers of Kali River Rapids were upgraded:

The bats exhibit was closed for refurbishment in the Maharajah Jungle Trek during our visit:

The exhibit reopened on Friday (the day after our visit):

New lights were recently installed along this new pathway, which was built next to Kali River Rapids:

The trees and plants planted by the new walkway are growing:

The new food and beverage location continues to take shape near Expedition Everest:

A peek behind the walls:

Time to check out the new Rivers of Light amphitheater:

From left to right:

Future rockwork:

Future control booth?:

New rockwork:

It seems like the right side of the amphitheater is receiving more attention at the moment:

Rocks:

More work is being done directly across the amphitheater:

Another amazing day has come to an end. Thank you for joining us.

  2. It looks like the new amphitheater might be seated from the way they are pouring the concrete.

  4. What is the difference between Busch Gardens Africa and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Answer Busch Gardens has more than two Adult rides and costs a lot less. LOL

    1. Personally I go to Disney Animal Kingdom for animals as their animal exhibits are far better. I go to Busch Gardens Tampa for rollercoasters as their other rides and animal attractions aren't as good. I enjoy both parks for very different reasons.

  7. The weird black boxes you were talking about are WiFi transmitters. They have a range of 200-500ft typically depending on the manufacture.

    I highly disagree with that.

  10. Animal Kingdom looks to be on it's way to becoming the 3rd best park in Florida right after Epcot Center and Magic Kingdom, of course at number one.
